July 18: IT UnConference

Information Technologies hosts second UnConference for UD tech staff

1:34 p.m., July 11, 2012--University of Delaware Information Technologies (IT) will host an IT Professionals UnConference from 8:30 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, July 18, in the Rodney Room of the Perkins Student Center. 

The event is open to any UD staff who would benefit from discussing technology issues with colleagues from IT or other campus departments. A light breakfast will be included; therefore, registration is recommended.

Abandoned bicycles

UD's Department of Public Safety will be removing abandoned bicycles from the Newark campus beginning Monday, June 24.

VoIP telephones

Telephone Services advises that the deployment of new Voice over Internet Protocol telephones is proceeding and will continue campuswide through July.

An unconference is a collaborative meeting with an open agenda: participants propose topics, vote on the topics to be discussed during the event’s breakout sessions, then lead and contribute to the discussions.
