FYI Stories

Spencer to reopen Saturday

Following a Friday afternoon fire, the University of Delaware's Spencer Laboratory will reopen at 8 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 30, with the exception of Suites 131 and 133, which will be closed until further notice.

App for safety

UD now has a smartphone safety app that helps prevent crime and enables police better respond to incidents, making students even safer while at school.

Articles will be delivered electronically to eligible users’ interlibrary loan accounts. The library has established strict guidelines for this service to adhere to U.S. copyright law. Only one book chapter or article from a periodical issue will be scanned through this service.

Documents requested through the Article DELivery Service are typically delivered within two business days. There is no charge for the service.

Article DELivery Service requests can be submitted using a form on the Interlibrary Loan web page. Requesters who have not previously used Interlibrary Loan will need to create a new account prior to logging in. A current UDelNet ID and password are required to create an account.

More information about the Article DELivery Service, including guidelines for what may be copied, is available at this website. Library users also may contact Megan Gaffney, coordinator of Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery Services, at 302-831-6980 or gaffneym@udel.edu.
