Schwarz, Beament to perform works by American, British composers

8:26 a.m., Feb. 13, 2013--American violinist Timothy Schwarz and British pianist Jane Beament will present works by American and British composers in presentations Tuesday, Feb. 19, and Wednesday, Feb. 20, in Gore Recital Hall of the University of Delaware’s Roselle Center for the Arts.

The Feb. 19 concert, “The Anglo,” will feature music by Elgar, Osbon and Britten.

Founded in 1996, the Dark Arts Performing Dance Company at the University of Delaware is marking its anniversary with a concert titled "Memories and New Beginnings: 20 Years of Artistry in Motion" at 7 p.m., Friday, May 6, in Mitchell Hall.

May 6-7: Digital Pedagogy Lab

A Digital Pedagogy Lab at UD on May 6-7 will feature experts in using technology to teach, learn and collaborate.

The Feb. 20 concert, “The American,” will feature music by Copland, Beach, Corigliano and Sametz.

Tickets cost $12 for adults, $8 for senior adults and $3 students and will be available at the door by cash or check.
