2:36 p.m., Aug. 15, 2012--A one-day workshop and conference of the Society of College and University Planning (SCUP) will be held Tuesday, Sept. 18, at Clayton Hall on the University of Delaware campus in Newark.
The conference, organized and sponsored by Paul Pusecker, senior business officer for UD’s College of Arts and Sciences and a member of the SCUP national and mid-Atlantic board, will focus on “Improving Universities, Improving Students’ Experiences: How to Start to Address a Multi-Billion Dollar Problem.”
Oct. 8: Black Lives Matter
Oct. 9: Glow Night
In this full-day workshop, participants will learn how lean principles and tools can help them effectively address problems they face in operations, deferred maintenance, and renewal on campus.
The group will work collaboratively to deeply understand a commonly shared challenge, generate and prioritize ideas to address the challenge, and develop actionable solutions.
Throughout the workshop, participants will engage in hands-on activities that reinforce lean principles and tools. By practicing what they learn, participants will understand the value and relevance of this approach, and how it can be applied in other settings.
The pre-registration deadline is Tuesday, Sept. 4.
