June 6-9: Food and culture series
“This event is to help promote One Day Without Shoes, which TOMS puts on every year to raise awareness of the fact that millions of people do not have access to shoes and of their mission, ‘one-for-one’,” says Laura Massey, director of philanthropy for UDress. “When you purchase a pair of shoes, they provide shoes to children who cannot afford them. So through this event, we are hoping to bring people together in a fun and engaging way."
Attendees are encouraged to go barefoot at the event to help spread awareness. Clothes in the Past Lane will be offering 15 percent off all TOMS, will provide extra white TOMS to customize, have the artistic team create designs and allow the chance to “style your sole.”
There will be musical performances, activities, food and freebies including tote bags. TOMS T-shirts, Chipotle gift cards and $50 TOMS gift cards will be available.
