Kente Stole ceremony
Campus community invited to attend Kente Stole Ceremony May 24
11:12 a.m., April 15, 2013--The University of Delaware campus community is invited to attend the annual Kente Stole Ceremony, sponsored by UD’s Center for Black Culture, at 7 p.m., Friday, May 24, at Clayton Hall.
The event will celebrate the accomplishments of members of the Class of 2013 and their families.
NSF cites 60 for 60
The Kente Stoles, which are worn as an acknowledgement of one’s African ancestry, symbolize accomplishment, community, unity and pride.
A light reception at 6 will precede the event.
