University IT to present informational webcasts at noon Fridays

11:22 a.m., Jan. 5, 2012--Beginning Jan. 6, University of Delaware Information Technologies will be webcasting short, 5- to 10-minute video sessions every Friday at noon. This new series is called LearnIT Express, and each session will demonstrate or introduce a technology tool or service that could help participants accomplish their work more easily.

The first LearnIT Express session will introduce Microsoft Excel PivotTables.

Future sessions will cover topics such as WordPress, UD Drop Box, Google Calendar, collaboration tools and other IT services and technology tools.

LearnIT Express sessions will often introduce a topic covered in one of IT's full-length LearnIT@UD classes. For example, after watching the LearnIT Express session about Excel PivotTables, participants might want to attend an upcoming 90-minute class about PivotTables or watch a recording from a previous session.
