Blue Hen Leadership Program offers Thursday workshop series

5:19 p.m., Jan. 10, 2012--The Blue Hen Leadership Program (BHLP) will offer a three-part series this winter on Leadership and Pop Culture. 

The program looks at leadership with a fun and creative twist. Workshops will be held in the Trabant University Center on Thursdays from 4:30–6:40 p.m., beginning on Jan. 12. Pizza will be provided.

New endeavor

UD President Patrick T. Harker announced March 2 that he will step down as president to become president and chief executive officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. His new appointment is effective July 1.

Forums planned March 5, 9

The Faculty Senate Commission on Sexual Harassment and Assault, which is working in concert with UD's Title IX coordinator, has scheduled forums on March 5 for graduate students and March 9 for the entire campus community.

Here is the full schedule:

Jan. 12: “The Leadership of Lost” will look at the situational leadership model. The workshop will incorporate clips from Lost, one of the most successful dramatic television series in history.

Jan. 19: “The Leadership Challenge Is So Fetch” takes a look at the movie Mean Girls to analyze the leadership behind mean girls.

Jan. 26: “Values and The Social Network” will use the Academy Award-winning film The Social Network about the creation of Facebook to teach value-based leadership.
