Library offers 'Introduction to Film and Video Collection' workshop
9:57 a.m., Dec. 14, 2011--The University of Delaware Library will present a workshop “Introduction to Film and Video Collection Resources” from 10-11 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 10.
The workshop will focus on film and video resources and services related to classroom instructional support and research and will provide an overview of film and video resources and services available at the University of Delaware Library.

The following questions will be addressed within this workshop:
- How can more media be incorporated into teaching?
- What films and videos are available for class viewing?
- How can videos be checked out and scheduled for future use in my class?
The workshop will begin with a tour of the Film and Video Collection Department facilities, which include viewing carrels, a viewing room, the collections area and the Media Research Room.
Participants will be shown how to search the collection in DELCAT and WorldCat Local and will be given an online tour of the Film and Video web page. Note that the session does not cover services and resources offered by the Student Multimedia Design Center.
The workshop will meet in the Film and Video Collection Department, Morris Library, Lower Level.
Presenter will be Meghann Matwichuk, associate librarian, Film and Video Collection Department.
The workshop is available at no charge and is open to UD faculty, staff and students. Seating is limited and registration is required. To register online, go to this website.
