Code of Conduct

Using the University of Delaware Ice Arenas is a privilege, and the University will prohibit those who fail to comply with this Code of Conduct from further use of the facility as described below.

Step 1: Prior to arriving at the University of Delaware, Ice Arena participants and coaches (collectively, the "Participants") must complete the Ice Arena online waiver form. Ice Arena Waiver. In addition, all Ice Arenas Participants and also other guests and spectators (collectively, the "Spectators") must complete the daily health screening assessment prior to arriving at the facility. Daily Health Screen. No one will be permitted access to the facility without having completed and passed the daily health screening.

Step 2: Participants and Spectators must wear a mask and maintain social distancing at all times while in the facility.

Step 3: Participants and Spectators must check in with a designated University staff member before entering the facility. Staff members will verify that Participants and Spectators have 1) completed and passed the daily health screen; 2) have a completed waiver form on file; and 3) have a completed code of conduct form on file. The University staff member will then assign Participants to a zone. Participants must remain in their zones when not on the ice. Spectators must sit in the designated areas of bleachers.

Step 4: Upon completion of the skating session, Participants and Spectators will have 15 minutes to exit the facility following the designated exits for each arena.

Failure to abide by the Code of Conduct will result in the following consequences and NO REFUND WILL BE PROVIDED. Repeated violations will result in the Participant or Spectator losing facility privileges:

First infraction will result in a verbal and written warning. The University will send the written warning via email to the Participant or Spectator in violation. The University will maintain a copy of the written warning. If applicable, the Participant's coach and organization will be copied on the written warning email notifying them of the infraction. For those Participants on a team, this violation will also constitute as a first infraction for the team on which they are competing.

Second infraction will result in 2-week suspension from the facility. The University will send a formal letter outlining the 2-week suspension via email to the Participant or Spectator in violation. The University will maintain a copy of the suspension letter. If applicable, the Participant's coach and organization will be copied on the suspension letter email notifying them of the infraction. For those Participants on a team, this violation will also constitute as a second infraction for the team on which they are competing.

Upon completion of suspension if the Participant or Spectator commits any additional violation of the Code of Conduct, he/she will be banned from using the facility for the remainder of the 2021 Summer Season, ending on August 31, 2021.
