Meet the Author
Roberto Fernández was born in Cuba
in 1951.
At the age of ten, he
left his country together with his family after Castro's
government had confiscated his father's property. Since then,
Fernández has lived in the Miami area, and is now professor of Hispanoamerican
literature at Florida State University. He has written novels and
short stories in Spanish and English, such as Cuentos sin rumbos and
El jardín de la luna. La vida es un especial,
La montaña rusa and Raining Backwards (in English)
were published in the eighties.
