The University of Delaware’s Division of Athletics and Recreation sponsors several student-run sport clubs.  Collegiate sport clubs compete against other college and university club teams, much like varsity sports, but are organized and administered differently.  Collegiate sport clubs are run by the students. The Sport Clubs Program affords students the opportunity to continue in high-level sport competition while building skills in leadership, organization, and self-governance.  The students elect officers, develop bylaws, create their competition and practice schedules, organize travel, and manage their budgets. The University's role is to assist students in managing these enterprising and highly dynamic organizations.
