The University of Delaware’s Division of Athletics and Recreation sponsors several student-run sport clubs. Collegiate sport clubs compete against other college and university club teams. The Sport Clubs Program provides the opportunity to remain active in competitive sports, while building skills in leadership, organization, and self-governance. The students elect their officers, write their bylaws, create their competition and practice schedules, make all travel arrangements, and manage their budgets, among other things. The club is as active and competitive as the student members choose to make it. The University's role is to assist students in managing these enterprising and highly dynamic organizations.
