You're Here

We've noticed that people tended to have some questions which were the same about our web site. Here are some of the more common ones with answers.

Look at Mike's Big Brain

Q: What about the moral implications of eating meat?

A: Morality is not a discussion of facts. When cows become citizens we will consider this debate. This would have taken away the scientific focus of our research.

Q: Why were your sources old?

A: Old is relative and these sources still retain merit. Schrodinger published his paper on quantum mechaincs in the 20's and we still use that don't we?

Q: Why are the letters on my screen so small?

A: I don't know. If the font is too small most web browsers have an option to change the font size. On Netscape it is under View:Increase Font. On Intenet Explorer it is View:Text Size:Larger. We did not specify a font so you would have the option of changing this.

Q: Why didn't we use frames in our web page?

A: Frames are annoying. They stay with you even when you click on an link to another page. This decreases your viewable area of other sites. They also make text-based browsers have problems.

Q: Where are the chemical structures? I like chemical structures.

A: Structures aren't that relevant when things aren't reacting. If you need to see them we suggest using the Merck Index.

Q: What does PETA stand for?

A: Look at the links page. Contray to our beliefs it doesn't stand for People Eating Tasty Animals. We do commend them for being the ONLY vegetarian website to have references that weren't cookbooks or religious texts.

Something Else That's Worth Mentioning
