Status of Facilities Sub-Team by Denise Schneider:

The Sub-Team met on 9/4, they are currently working on Project Class manual and are starting chapter 5.  The team discovered how to change the length of time before the system “times out” through configuration manager and the directions can be found at the following:  http://www.udel.edu/UDFS/fac-proj09_04min.html

Discussion of Mapping UD data into P.S. Grants Module:

On hold until setup is complete.  The team worked on the F&A tree to complete the set-up process which will lead to a better understanding of the system and a more accurate mapping assignment.

 

On-Demand Training Module Decisions:

Will view Chart Fields or Intro to Trees next meeting.  With the teams effort to build the F&A tree, it was determined that maybe we should watch the Intro to Trees training program first.

Issues Raised at 9/5/01 Meeting:

1.        Getting the handful of 1 and 2 book accounts that are currently having IDC charged to them changed.  We think that only Sponsored

Program Activity will have F&A applied to them.

2.        The current numbering and naming convention of PS account (UD object code) needs to be addressed as we are learning more about the PS system.

3.        The set-up of the “ACCOUNTROLLUP” tree.  While developing the F&A Tree, we discovered problems that might be caused by not having the “ACCOUNTROLLUP” tree established for UOD01.

4.        We changed GMEG_04 and GMEG_22 to UOD01.  We will need to switch these back to UNIV on Titanic.

 

 

Setup of Grants:

Setup F&A Tree.  Start working the Grants Training Workbook to test the completeness of Grants Single Version Setup.  All team members were asked to read the chapters in PS Fundamentals on Trees to gain a better understanding of their structure.
