Hens women’s lacrosse falls 15-12 to Rutgers

UD’s Debbie Sloan had four goals and two assists in the loss to Rutgers.

9:27 a.m., March 5, 2007--The University of Delaware women's lacrosse team fell 15-12 at Rutgers University in a game played Saturday afternoon.

The Fightin' Blue Hens are now 0-2 to start the season. They will return to action with a game against Loyola College of Maryland at 4 p.m., Wednesday, March 7, at Rullo Stadium.

In the loss to Rutgers, UD was led by sophomore attack Debbie Sloan, who had four goals and two assists. Junior attack Amanda Alrich had two goals and an assist, and other goals were scored by Katie Muth, Stacey McPartland, Courtney Aburn, Amanda Jones, Kelly Twamley and freshman Nicole Flego, who also had an assist.

UD goalkeeper Jordan Fischer had three saves and Jessica Cerveny had two.
