8:02 a.m., March 2, 2007--The University of Delaware women's basketball team defeated Northeastern University 65-35 in their Colonial Athletic Association regular season finale on Thursday night in Boston.

“Our kids played extremely well tonight,” UD Head Coach Tina Martin said following Thursday's victory. “We had four players in double figures which is great. We've been playing good basketball but we just have to keep it going. Winning 25 games is a great achievement and a true testament to our efforts. We will get back home and start thinking about the tournament. We have to be physically and mentally ready to go for what hopefully will be a championship run. We are excited to be hosting the tournament and we hope all the fans come out to see us play. We want to show people the kind of support we have.”

Scoring in double figures were senior guard Tyresa Smith, with 16 points and 15 rebounds, junior guard Kyle DeHaven with 13 points, senior guard Alena Koshansky with 11 points and senior forward Chrissy Fisher with 10 points.
