8:24 a.m., March 12, 2007--The University of Delaware baseball team picked up its first victory of the season, taking the middle game of a three-game Colonial Athletic Association series against Towson University at Bob Hannah Stadium.

The Fightin' Blue Hens are now 1-8 overall and 1-2 in the conference. They are scheduled to return to action at 3 p.m., Tuesday, March 13, against the University of Maryland Baltimore County at Bob Hannah Stadium. The team will remain at home to face Wilmington College at 3 p.m., Wednesday, March 14.

Towson defeated UD 9-3 to open the series before the Hens bounced back to take the second game 9-8. Towson closed the series with a 9-8 win on Sunday.
