UD Head Coach Scott Grzenda, who will begin his 18th season at the helm of the Hens this fall, welcomes back nine of the top 10 scorers, 18 letter winners, and eight starters from last year's team that went 8-8-3 and finished ninth in the Colonial Athletic Association. Junior Kasie Shover is the top returning scorer after posting five goals and two assists a year ago.

After preseason scrimmages at Lehigh University on Aug. 22 and at Penn State University on Aug. 25, the Hens will open the regular season at Virginia, a team that went 16-4-3 and advanced to the third round of the NCAA tournament last fall.

UD will then face St. Joseph's University on Sept. 2 at the Delaware Mini-Stadium, and will remain at home for a match against Marshall University on Sept. 7. The Hens will play at Seton Hall University on Sept. 9 and at Georgetown University on Sept. 16 before making the trip to Texas.

After the games at Old Dominion and William and Mary, UD will return home to continue its CAA schedule with games against Virginia Commonwealth University on Oct. 5 and James Madison University on Oct. 7. After matches at George Mason University on Oct. 12 and Towson University on Oct. 14, the Hens will return home to face the University of North Carolina Wilmington on Oct. 19 and Georgia State University on Oct. 21.

The Hens will travel to Northeastern University on Oct. 26 and will close the regular season with a pair of home games, facing Hofstra University on Oct. 28 and Drexel University on Nov. 1. The CAA championship tournament will be played Nov. 6-11.
