Delaware’s Mike Yost honored by conference

3:59 p.m., April 21, 2005--University of Delaware discus and hammer thrower Mike Yost has been named the Colonial Athletic Association Athlete of the Week in men's track and field.

Yost captured the discus and hammer competitions at the Rider Invitational last weekend, turning in career-best efforts in both events. The senior threw the discus 158 feet, 2 inches, and threw the hammer 177 feet, 5 inches, which qualified him for the Intercollegiate Association of Amateur Athletes in America (IC4A) regionals in both events.
