UD womens soccer splits weekend matches
The Fightin Blue Hens are now 5-3-2 overall and 2-1 in the CAA. They will return to action with a pair of conference games on the road, facing Old Dominion University at 7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 7, and the College of William & Mary at 2 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 9. In the victory over Northeastern, UD got goals from sophomore Kendall Lytwynec and senior Shelby Lawrence, who found the net off a feed from Mary Beth Creed. UD goalkeeper Lindsey Shover had six saves. Hofstra scored twice in the first 21 minutes in the victory over the Hens.
