11:24 a.m., Aug. 30, 2005--The University of Delaware soccer team has opened unbeaten, defeating St. Joseph’s University 1-0 on Friday and tying Seton Hall University 1-1 in double overtime on Sunday.

The Fightin’ Blue Hens will now prepare for tournament action this weekend at North Carolina State University. UD will face Elon College in its tournament opener on Friday afternoon.

Against St. Joseph’s, the Hens scored on an own goal by the Hawks. UD goalkeeper Lindsay Shover had three saves to record the shutout, the 15th of her career.
