Penn State tops Hens in women’s lacrosse

11:03 a.m., May 9, 2005--The host Penn State University women’s lacrosse team defeated the University of Delaware 15-6 in a game played Saturday afternoon.

The game was the season finale for the Fightin’ Blue Hens, who finished 8-8 under first year Head Coach Kim Ciarrocca.

Senior attack Erin Edell scored three goals to lead the Hens, who also got two goals from freshman attack Casey McCrudden. Midfielder Katie Muth also scored.

UD goalkeepers Patrice Hughes and Jess Dibelka combined to make saves.

The game was the last for UD seniors Edell, Allison Lynch, Lindsey Greer, Kelly O'Connor and Becky Rausa.
