UD womens lacrosse tops Mount St. Marys 9:46 a.m., March 21, 2005--Senior midfielder Erin Edell scored four goals to lead the No. 20-ranked University of Delaware womens lacrosse team to a 14-7 victory over Mount St. Marys University on Friday night at Rullo Stadium. With the victory, the Fightin Blue Hens improved to 3-1 on the season. The Hens will return to action at 4 p.m., Tuesday, March 22, at the University of Pennsylvania, and will open Colonial Athletic Association play with a game against Towson University at 7 p.m., Friday, March 25, at Rullo Stadium. Edell led the UD attack in Fridays victory over Mount St. Marys with four goals and an assist, and Katie Muth, Casey McCrudden and Stephanie McQuade scored two goals apiece. Becky Rausa had a goal and two assists. UD goalkeeper Patrice Hughes made nine saves. The game was tied 5-5 at the half. The Hens pulled away by scoring the first seven goals of the second half.
