Warrington is selected CAA Player of Week

9:11 a.m., Sept. 13, 2005--University of Delaware junior field hockey standout Amanda Warrington has been named the Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Week after scoring three goals in a 4-1 victory over Rutgers University.

Warrington, who was named the CAA Defensive Player of the Year in 2004, leads the Fightin’ Blue Hens with 11 points on four goals and three assists.

The Hens, who have opened the season 4-2, will travel to St. Joseph’s University for a game at 7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 16, and to Lafayette College for a game at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 18.
