Bennett takes pole vault honors at Monmouth Invitational

11:43 a.m., March 30, 2005--Casey Bennett won the women’s pole vault with a leap of 11-5 3/4, as the UD men’s and women’s track and field teams opened up the 2005 spring season March 26 by competing at the Monmouth Invitational (N.J.) and the Raleigh Relays at North Carolina State.

UD athletes turned in three first-place finishes and a pair of second-place honors, while Brad Dawson placed second in the 1,500 meters in one of the nation’s top early-season meets.
