Delaware men’s tennis blanks La Salle, 7-0

11 a.m., Oct. 27, 2005--The University of Delaware men’s tennis team closed the fall season with a 7-0 victory over host La Salle University in matches played Wednesday afternoon.

UD senior Jesse Carl defeated Marco Onorato 6-4, 6-4 at No. 1 singles and senior Adam Liebman defeated Ross Flockerzie 6-0, 6-2 at No. 2.

Senior Josh Ditman defeated Erick Glick 6-2, 6-3 at No. 3, sophomore Jason Hanschmann defeated Scott Karwowski 6-4, 6-3 at No. 4, freshman Nolan Greenberg defeated Chris Butera 6-2, 6-2 at No. 5, and sophomore Jonathan Schwartz shut out Corey Hansen 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6.

Carl and Hanschmann defeated Onorato and Karwowski 9-7 at No. 1 doubles, Greenberg and senior Philip Wayne defeated Butera and Glick 8-2 at No. 2, and Ditman and Schwartz topped Flockerzie and Hansen 8-2 at No. 3.

The Fightin’ Blue Hens ended the fall season with a record of 3-0.
