UD tennis teams split in Florida action

8:55 a.m., March 31, 2005--The University of Delaware tennis squads continued their spring break play in Florida Wednesday, March 30, with the men winning 7-2 over Florida Tech, in Melbourne, while the women lost to Stetson 6-1, in Deland.

Notching their fourth straight win, the men improved to 8-4, winning five singles matches and three doubles for the victory.
Singles match wins for the Blue Hens went to Adam Liebman, Josh Ditman, Robert Wirth, Jason Hanschman and Jonathan Schwartz. UD doubles winners were Jesse Carl and Hanschman, and Phillip Wayne and Sammy Carl.

The women's team, 11-3 overall, got a singles win from Brittany Barsky, while Sari Shuster and Julie Schiller combined for a doubles win for the Hens.

The Fightin' Blue Hen women closed out the Florida trip with a 1-2 mark, while the UD men wrap up today against Stetson.
