UD’s Lindsey Shover is CAA Player of Week

Lindsey Shover is the CAA Player of the Week.

9:29 a.m., Oct. 25, 2005--Lindsey Shover, senior goalkeeper on the University of Delaware women’s soccer team, has been named the Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Week.

Shover had five saves in a 1-0 shutout victory over George Mason University on Friday and a season-high 10 saves in a 1-1 tie against Towson University on Sunday.

For the season, Shover has a 1.11 goals against average and an .811 save percentage. She is third in the CAA in save percentage and is tied for second in shutouts, with five.

Shover and the Fightin’ Blue Hens will return to action with a CAA match against the University of North Carolina Wilmington at 7 p.m., Thursday, at the Delaware Mini-Stadium.

UD will close out the regular season on with a home match against Georgia State University at 1 p.m., Saturday.
