McCrudden repeats as CAA rookie of the week

11:55 a.m., March 30, 2005--University of Delaware women’s lacrosse freshman attack Casey McCrudden was named the Colonial Athletic Assoiciation Women’s Lacrosse Rookie of the Week for the second straight week on March 28.

McCrudden started the week with a pair of goals in the Blue Hens’ 12-11 loss to No. 14 Penn, and continued her big week with a career-high five-goal performance during UD’s 13-8 upset of Towson.

With two ground balls against the Tigers, McCrudden also recorded her second hat trick of a season during which she has scored 13 goals on 30 shots.

Delaware women’s lacrosse team (4-2, 1-0 CAA), returns to action on Friday, April 1, with a 3 p.m. match at Drexel. The Hens return home on Sunday, April 3, with a noontime contest against Towson.
