Hens slide to No. 13 in Division I-AA poll

4:15 p.m., Oct. 3, 2005--After a 35-31 loss at Towson University on Saturday, the University of Delaware football team has slipped eight spots to No. 13 in the Sports Network NCAA Division I-AA poll.

The Fightin’ Blue Hens are one of five Atlantic 10 Conference teams in the top 25, with the University of New Hampshire solidifying its hold on No. 1 with a victory over Villanova.

James Madison, the defending national champion, is ranked No. 5, followed by UD at No. 13, the College of William & Mary at No. 17 and the University of Massachusetts at No. 18.

Towson freshman quarterback Sean Schaefer was named the Atlantic 10 rookie of the week for his play against the Hens.
