Former Hen Matt Nagy lifts Georgia to victory

11:22 a.m., May 31, 2005--Former University of Delaware quarterback Matt Nagy led the Georgia Force to a 62-46 victory over the Tampa Bay Storm in the Arena Football League playoffs on Sunday.

Nagy completed 21 of 38 passes for 223 yards and threw five touchdown passes in the victory.

Georgia advances to play the Orlando Predators for the National Conference championship next weekend in Atlanta.

In other professional football action involving former Fightin’ Blue Hens, wide receiver Jamin Elliott caught five passes for 67 yards, including a 29-yard touchdown, for the Cologne Centurions of NFL Europe in a 28-16 loss to the Rhein Fire. Elliott also returned one kickoff for 18 yards.
