9:54 a.m., Sept. 28, 2005--Rider University scored late in the first half for a 1-0 victory over the University of Delaware in a men’s soccer match played Tuesday night at the Delaware Mini-Stadium.

UD freshman goalkeeper Chris Jones had five saves.

With the loss, UD fell to 1-4-2. The Hens will return to action Friday when they face Northeastern University in a Colonial Athletic Association contest at the Delaware Mini-Stadium. Game time is set for 7 p.m. Northeastern is 1-5-1.

UD will continue CAA play with a game at Hofstra University at 2 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 2. Hofstra is 5-2-1.
