Turner is Hens’ new offensive line coach

9:01 a.m., March 11, 2005--Jim Turner, who spent the last two seasons as an assistant coach at Temple University, has been hired as the new offensive line coach for the University of Delaware football team, Fightin’ Blue Hens Head Coach K.C. Keeler announced Wednesday.

Turner, 40, replaces Kyle Flood, who served the last three seasons as offensive line coach before joining the staff at Rutgers University in February.

"We are very fortunate to be able to attract a coach as qualified as Jim Turner," Keeler said. "He has had tremendous success throughout his career, and we feel he can make a great impact on what will be a young offensive line for us."

Turner has served on the college staffs of Northeastern, Louisiana Tech, Harvard and Temple before arriving at UD. He was a standout player at Boston College before joining the coaching ranks.
