UD senior Jenn Joseph is All-Region selection

11:33 a.m., May 20, 2005--University of Delaware senior softball player Jenn Joseph has been named second team All-Region by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.

Joseph, a first baseman and pitcher who earlier was named second team All-Colonial Athletic Association, is the 13th player in UD history to earn All-Region honors.

Joseph appeared in 43 games this season before missing the final nine with a broken arm. She was among the team leaders, with 30 hits, 47 total bases, seven doubles, 19 runs batted in and 15 runs scored.

As a pitcher, she went 9-10 with a 2.60 earned run average in 21 appearances. She struck out 92 batters and combined with Lindsay Jones to throw the 13th no-hitter in UD history in an 8-0 victory over Rutgers University.

Joseph finished her career ranked third in UD history with 95 appearances and 294 strikeouts, sixth with 457.1 innings pitched, tied for sixth with 34 wins, tied for seventh with nine shutouts and tied for 10th with a 2.37 earned run average.
