2:57 p.m., Oct. 24, 2005--The University of Delaware field hockey team lost two Colonial Athletic Association games, both by 3-2 scores, in weekend action at Rullo Stadium. The Fightin’ Blue Hens fell to Towson University on Friday night and to No. 19-ranked James Madison University on Sunday afternoon.

With the losses, UD fell to 6-11 overall and 1-6 in the conference. They have two home games remaining and will take on Drexel University in a CAA contest at 7 p.m., Friday, and LaSalle University in a nonconference match at 1 p.m., Sunday.

In the loss to James Madison, the Hens got goals from senior Amber Deimler and junior Kaili Kao, who scored off a pass from junior Katie Evans. It was the 22nd assist of Evans’ career, which places her fourth all-time at UD.

UD junior goalkeeper Megan Allen had four saves, and Amanda Warrington suffered a cut in the first half, took eight stitches and returned to action midway through the second half.

Sophomore Molly Burke scored both goals for the Hens in the loss to Towson. Allen had three saves.
