Blue Hen field hockey drops two CAA games

10:48 a.m., Oct. 10, 2005--The University of Delaware field hockey team lost both weekend Colonial Athletic Association games, falling 2-1 to the College of William & Mary on Friday in Williamsburg, Va., and 6-2 to Old Dominion University on Sunday in Norfolk, Va.

In the loss to William & Mary, the lone Fightin’ Blue Hens goal was scored by Molly Burke on an assist from Amber Deimler. UD goalkeeper Megan Allen had nine saves.

Kaili Kao and Katie Evans scored for the Hens in the loss to Old Dominion, which is ranked No. 8 in NCAA Division I. Allen tied her career high with 14 saves.

UD will return to action with a game at the University of Maryland at 1 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 16.
