NFL Europe contest features former Hens

1:59 p.m., April 7, 2005--Study abroad takes on a whole new meaning for two former University of Delaware football stars, as the Rhein Fire and quarterback Andy Hall will take on the Cologne Centurions and wide receiver Jamin Elliott in an NFL Europe game to be played Sunday, April 10, at the LTU Arena in Dusseldorf.

Hall completed five passes in seven attempts for 33 yards in a season opening 24-14 loss to the Amsterdam Admirals. He also had one carry for five yards.

Hall, who was assigned to NFL Europe by the Philadelphia Eagles, split playing time with Scott McBrien of the Green Bay Packers.

Elliott, who was assigned by the Chicago Bears, caught one pass for 19 yards and returned two kickoffs for 56 yards as the Centurions defeated the Hamburg Sea Devils 24-23 in their season opener.
