Three tennis players recognized by CAA

Alexa Dragonette

3:57 p.m., April 21, 2005--Three University of Delaware players have been honored by the Colonial Athletic Association, with Alexa Dragonette of the women’s team named the Singles Player of the Week and Jesse Carl and Jason Hanschmann of the men’s team named the Doubles Team of the Week.

Dragonette, a freshman, helped lead the Fightin’ Blue Hens to a 2-1 record on the week as she won two singles matches and three doubles matches. She is 11-6 in singles and 18-3 in doubles this season.

Carl, a junior, and Hanschmann, a freshman, won all three of their matches during the week. The doubles team is 16-4 this season and has a six-match winning streak.
