Delaware baseball out of Colonial tournament 11:59 a.m., May 28, 2005--Towson University pitcher Matt Holley cooled down a hot University of Delaware attack, giving up just three hits in a 5-0 victory that knocked the Fightin Blue Hens out of the Colonial Athletic Association championship tournament. UD had earlier lost to George Mason University in the double-elimination tournament. Towson struck early, scoring two runs in the first inning off UD starter Scott Rambo for a lead that proved to be sufficient. UD designated hitter Kelly Buber had two hits for the Hens, and catcher Brian Valichka had one. To learn how to subscribe to UDaily, click here. |
