UD baseball team falls to George Washington

10:21 a.m., April 29, 2005--The University of Delaware baseball team fell 4-3 to George Washington University on Thursday afternoon at Barcroft Park in Arlington, Va.

The Fightin’ Blue Hens fell to 19-20 on the season as they prepare to host the College of William and Mary in a three-game Colonial Athletic Association series this weekend at Bob Hannah Stadium. The teams will meet at 3 p.m., Friday, and at 1 p.m., Saturday and Sunday.

In the game against George Washington, UD pitcher Chris Garrick took the loss in his first decision. He allowed three runs on seven hits and struck out six batters in five innings of work.

Brian Valichka had three hits for the Hens, and Adam Tsakonas and Dan Richardson had two each. All three hit doubles.
