Donovan has hot bat in victory over Temple

9:45 a.m., April 8, 2005--Second baseman Brock Donovan had five hits, including two doubles, to lead the University of Delaware baseball team to a 13-11 victory over Temple University in a slugfest played Thursday afternoon at Ambler, Pa., Field.

Donovan also had four runs batted in and two runs scored for the Fightin’ Blue Hens, who improved to 12-15.

Collecting two hits each for the Hens were first baseman Adam Tsakonas, who also drove in a pair of runs, designated hitter Dan Kozek and third baseman Ryan Graham.

Pitcher Matt Heppner, one of five Hens to take the mound, picked up his first victory of the season.

UD will return to action against the New York Institute of Technology at 3 p.m., Monday, April 11, at Bob Hannah Stadium.
