Hens’ strength coach takes job at Tulane

Russell Barbarino
10:05 a.m., May 25, 2005--Russell Barbarino, the director of strength and conditioning for University of Delaware athletics for the past six seasons, has resigned to accept a similar position at Tulane University in New Orleans.

Barbarino will oversee the strength and conditioning programs for Tulane athletes in 16 sports programs and will direct a staff of three full-time assistant strength coaches.

UD is conducting a national search to replace Barbarino, who is five-time finalist for the National Strength and Conditioning Association Professional of the Year Award given annually to the top collegiate strength and conditioning coach in the nation.
