Blue Hen e-mail service for the Class of 2002

May 22, 2002 -- The University of Delaware offers an e-mail forwarding service to graduates, and members of the Class of 2002 are invited to register to participate.

Many of the graduating seniors have come to rely on e-mail and soon will be making the transition from the UD e-mail system to a commercial Internet provider.

UD e-mail privileges will be extended until Sept. 17, providing graduates time to retrieve important messages and electronic files.

Graduates also can establish a permanent forwarding address through the Blue Hen e-mail forwarding service.

No matter what commercial provider you choose, you can tell friends and associates to send your e-mail to "your.name@bluehen.udel.edu."

UD will forward all incoming messages to the commercial account that you specifiy.

To register for Blue Hen e-mail forwarding, visit the Office of Alumni and University Relations web site at www.udel.edu/alumni anytime after July 26.

Also, in preparing to leave campus, be sure to check the IT Help Center web page at www.udel.edu/help for suggestions.

Once off campus, you can stay in touch with UD by forwarding your most recent mail and e-mail addresses to the Office of Alumni Relations.

Again, go to www.udel.edu/alumni and click on "keeping in touch." You can submit address changes and include your e-mail address on the Class of 2002 e-mail directory.

Via e-mail, the office can keep graduates informed of campus news, alumni events in their area and special benefits offered UD alumni.

If you continue to be registered for courses in the summer or fall semesters, your e-mail account will not be interrupted.
