Facility Description

The Employee Fitness Center (EFC) provides a place where faculty, staff, retirees, and spouses can work out. Recently renovated, the EFC includes:

  • A full Life Fitness strength circuit
  • New cardio equipment, including treadmills, ellipticals, steppers, bikes, rowers, and arc trainers
  • Free Weights
  • Access to a trainer and all of our employee-only fitness services

The Employee Fitness Center is located in the Carpenter Sports Building (across from the pool). If you would like an orientation of the fitness center or a tour of the whole building, call the HealthyU office at 831-8388.

The Employee Fitness Center is a benefit to University employees, retirees, and spouses. Graduate students and undergraduate students are not permitted to use the EFC.

Facility User Policies

In order to access the building, you MUST swipe in with your University ID. You will not be allowed entry into Carpenter Sports Building without it. If you are interested in using the facility with your spouse, you must get your spouse an ID card as well. On your initial entry to the building, you will be asked to fill out a building waiver, and a yellow employee sticker will be placed on the back of your card, indicating you are cleared to use the facility.
