Professional Development Info Session July 18 in Newark

Learn about professional development courses focused on business, healthcare, and IT topics
A free information session highlighting Fall 2019 professional development programs will be held Thursday, July 18 from 6-8 p.m. at the University of Delaware’s STAR Campus in Newark.
New programs highlighted at the event include courses in lean business culture, management training for emerging leaders, digital marketing, reducing human error in the workplace, and advanced reporting and analytics using Microsoft® Excel.
Hosted by UD’s Division of Professional and Continuing Studies at UD’s signature new multimedia space, the Audion at STAR Tower, the information session provides high-level program overviews and gives prospective students opportunities to network with faculty and program graduates so they can ask questions and learn more about the programs.
The information session presents the following short-term programs focused on helping professionals to advance in their careers:
• Analytics/Big Data
• Business Analysis
• Clinical Trials Management
• Digital Marketing
• Diminishing Human Error in the Workplace
• Drone Pilot Training
• Leading a Lean Culture
• Management Essentials for Emerging Leaders
• Microsoft Excel
• Occupational Safety
• Paralegal Certificate and seminars
• Project Management, PMP/CAPM exam prep
• Social Media Marketing
• Telehealth Coordinator
• Web Coding (.NET/C#, Java)
Most programs can be completed in about three months, with classes held at UD’s Arsht Hall in Wilmington or on UD’s Newark campus. Some include online class meetings or are offered totally online.
Discounts or scholarships are available for most programs and include military, group, early registration, professional association and UD discounts.
