University's Student Alumni Ambassadors seeking new members
The University of Delaware’s Office of Development and Alumni Relations (DAR) is seeking enthusiastic undergraduate students to serve as UD Student Alumni Ambassadors (UDSAAs).
UDSAAs plan activities and attend events to engage Blue Hens, strengthen UD spirit and instill Blue Hen pride in the community. They also assist with programs such as Homecoming Spirit Day and I Heart UD Day, both featuring the class cab.
Students who are interested in becoming a UD Student Alumni Ambassador (UDSAA) can visit here for more information and to fill out the online application. Applications are due before Wednesday, Feb. 15.
"Serving as a UDSAA is a great way to network and foster relationships within the University’s extensive alumni population, educate peers on the importance of supporting UD philanthropically, gain invaluable leadership skills, build your résumé and show your Blue Hen pride," a representative said.
UDSAAs foster connections between alumni and students by interacting with alumni and by encouraging students to consider their role as future alumni. This includes:
• Supporting the mission and goals of the Office of Development and Alumni Relations;
• Encouraging school spirit and participation in campus life through the UD Bucket List;
• Engaging with alumni through various events;
• Serving as liaisons to the UD Alumni Association and senior administration; and
• Educating UD peers on the importance of alumni impact through philanthropy at UD.
DAR is looking for positive and confident future members with strong communication skills who are reliable and dependable. Applicants should demonstrate a strong interest in educating peers about philanthropy and share an overwhelming pride in the University of Delaware.
Those who are passionate about the University and feel compelled to lead the student body to understand the importance of being Blue Hens Forever are encouraged to apply for a UDSAA position today at this website.
