Events Stories

June 5: Blue Hen 5K

University of Delaware graduates planning to attend Alumni Weekend are encouraged to register for the annual Blue Hen 5K walk and run, which will be held Sunday morning, June 5.

June 6-9: Food and culture series

The 20th annual June Lecture Series at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UD in Wilmington will be held June 6-9. Titled 'June a la Carte,' this year's program focuses on great political documents, feminism, world politics and a Newark cuisine sampler.

The family in filed a civil lawsuit in Israel in their daughter's case, and earlier this year Israel’s Supreme Court upheld a lower court ruling that Rachel Corrie was killed in an act of war and that therefore the state holds no responsibility.

The Corries will discuss their daughter’s story and their own as seekers of accountability and justice and the larger issues of Palestine and Israel, the Middle East and U.S. foreign policy.

The Corries co-edited Let Me Stand Alone: the Journals of Rachel Corrie and are frequent guests at post-performance discussions of the play My Name is Rachel Corrie, co-edited by Alan Rickman and Katharine Viner, and produced in theatres around the world.
