On-Campus Interview Program

The On-Campus Interview Program offers students the opportunity to interact with approximately 160 organizations each year seeking students to fill full-time, part-time, and internship positions. While the organizations who participate are quite selective and competition for positions quite keen, the process of interviewing can assist you in better defining your career goals and improve your interview skills.

Upcoming Career events:

Career Treks

UD Career Treks are site visits to companies located within a geographic region or industry.  The visits are designed to provide an insider’s view of an organizations employment opportunities and culture.  All students that are interested in attending a UD Career Trek must read, sign, and submit the UD Career Trek Guidelines prior to participation in the site visit.  The Career Treks are coordinated by the UD Career Services Center, in collaboration with the Lerner College of Business Career Services Center and the Office of Development and Alumni Relations. Bus transportation is provided.  There is no fee for students to attend.

Full day career treks provide a group of students an opportunity to meet recruiters and UD alumni from multiple employers in cities such as New York or Washington, DC.

Half-day career treks provide a group of students an opportunity to visit one employer within a 60-minute radius of UD’s campus.

Both full and half-day career treks typically include introductions to the organizations, networking opportunities with professionals, and discussions about internships and full-time jobs. Previous treks have included sites such as Twitter, Edelman PR, the FBI, Ogilvy, Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, and Grey.

Students can apply for the Career Treks via Handshake.  The application will require students to submit a resume and essay on why they want to participate in the Trek. To apply search “UD Career Trek” and you will find several treks. You may apply to more than one Trek. However, please indicate your first choice in your essay.

Space is limited and seats are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.  There is no fee for the Trek. However, if a student is accepted to participate in the Trek and does not show-up or cancels within 2 business days prior to the trip, the student will be charged a $50.00, no-show fee.

The Career Trek is designed for you to make connections with alumni and industry representatives within a specific industry and/or geographic region.  Students will have the opportunity to speak with recruiters and/or alumni and learn detailed information about career opportunities.  Students will be responsible to follow-up on their own with representatives and/or alumni that were met during the trip.  It is strongly encouraged that students send thank you notes to all Trek contacts.

In order to be considered for the Trek, students must apply online via Handshake and submit a 150-word essay on the following topics:

Why do you want to attend the trek?  What do you hope to learn from this experience? How will you use this experience to advance your professional development?

All participants must exhibit professional behavior and abide by all policies of the University of Delaware and the laws of the city and state that we are visiting. Business professional attire is required.

If required by your professor, the UD Career Services Center can provide verification of your attendance.
