UDIT offers many opportunities for students to work in a variety of positions within our department. We seek to help students develop skills, refine career goals, and provide practical work experience.

Video Production

The IT-UMS Video Production unit is the professional in-house production company for UD. As a student employee, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside our producers and gain valuable hands-on experience in all aspects of video production including live event support, field production, studio production and editing. This is a paid position.


Performance Events

The IT-UMS Performance Events unit supplies event production services throughout the University. We provide lighting, projection and audio reinforcement for events in Mitchell Auditorium, The Roselle Center for the Arts, Delaware Stadium, and many other campus locations supporting an array of events such as dance, comedy, concerts, and sporting events. This is a paid position.


Classroom Support

IT-UMS has positions available to staff our classroom support call center. You will work with classroom technology systems to provide service for audio/visual equipment, work with faculty, both by phone and in person, to assist and orient them with operation of the equipment in centrally scheduled rooms. This is a paid position.


Website/Graphic Designer

The IT Communications Group is seeking a website and/or graphic design intern. Interns will have the opportunity to gain experience working on all aspects of the design pipeline and work with Adobe Programs including Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, and InDesign. Potential responsibilities include: assisting with development of graphics for web, e-newsletters, social media, and print; drafting and publishing WordPress posts and pages; coding HTML webpages; and support photo and video production. This is a paid position.


Computing Site Assistant

IT Client Support and Services is seeking individuals with good interpersonal skills, problem solving skills, proficient with both Windows and Mac OS, and have a flexible schedule. Experience configuring devices to connect to our network is preferred.

Students who can work mornings, evenings, and weekends are preferred. This is a paid position and our computing sites are open year round.


Student Computing Consultant

IT Client Support & Services is seeking individuals who have experience configuring devices to connect to our University network (IOS devices, Android, printers, gaming devices, streaming devices & televisions). Must be highly organized, have good interpersonal skills and have a flexible schedule. This is a paid position.


Smith Service Area (diagnostic/repair/virus scanning)

IT Client Support & Services is seeking individuals that have experience with installing computer hardware/software and have experience with virus/malware removal. Good troubleshooting skills to diagnose problems is necessary. Employment opportunities are year round! This is a paid position.
