Testing, Screening, Tracing

To help protect our students, faculty, staff and visitors from COVID-19, the University of Delaware has developed a robust and comprehensive program of testing, screening and contact tracing.

For all individuals on campus who have not received a COVID-19 vaccination, you will be required to get a COVID-19 test once a week.

Student Health Services

  • Student Health Services provides testing to symptomatic students in the Newark area. Students experiencing any COVID-19 symptom (such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell, congestion, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea) should call SHS at 302-831-2226. A triage nurse will return your call and guide you through next steps. In many cases, nasal swab testing is available to symptomatic students directly through Student Health Services. This option is available to students with symptoms.
